The Hume Moreland Volunteer Coordinator Network in the North has been meeting since 2007. The Network welcomes any community organisation or group that supports volunteerism along with other agencies with an interest in supporting their clients to become volunteers.
Member organisations are regularly invited to showcase volunteering success stories or case studies so other organisations can gain ideas for their programs. Organisations involved in the network have collaborated to successfully deliver Volunteer Information Sessions, Pop-Up Volunteer promotions at events, participation in the Hume Volunteering Conference 2017. The network provides members regular opportunities to exchange ideas, information and share strategies to build capacity of volunteer programs.
The Network is informal, friendly and supportive. It’s a great way to meet volunteer sector representatives from a diverse range of community organisations and groups.
Meetings are approximately every six weeks in the mornings from February to November and are hosted by Hume (February-June) and Moreland (July-November) Councils.
