Overview

The Leadership in Volunteering Special Interest Group (SIG) supports the interests and advancement of Leaders and Managers of Volunteers.

Our mission is to work collaboratively to explore:

  • Advocacy: Championing the rights and interests of Volunteer Managers and Leaders, and promoting the professionalisation of volunteer management.
  • Professional development: Supporting accreditation, training, and continuous improvement initiatives, along with the development of Volunteer Management Standards.
  • Trends and issues: Identifying and analysing current and emerging trends affecting Volunteer Managers and Leaders.
  • Promotion: Highlighting the value of volunteering professionals and best practices in volunteer management.
  • Mentoring and support: Offering peer support and networking for volunteering professionals.
