Volunteering Victoria announced 4 recipients at its sixth annual State Awards by video broadcast on Thursday 26 November 2020.
“The State Awards celebrate the incredible examples of leadership and contribution volunteer-involving organisations, their leaders and volunteers make in our communities,” said Scott Miller, Chief Executive of Volunteering Victoria.
“Leaders of volunteers play an important role in building and maintaining an effective volunteer effort. Congratulations to all the winners at our State Awards this year,” added Miller.
The Awards covered 4 categories this year: Support and Connection Award, Innovation and Resilience Award (Grassroots), Resilience Award and Innovation Award. A panel of judges drawn from the volunteering sector considered nominations and picked the winners.
The annual State Awards showcase the commitment, diversity and impact of Victoria’s volunteer managers, volunteering programs and volunteer-involving organisations.
