Volunteering Victoria is pleased to be partnering with Volunteer West to support more participants in our Continuing Professional Development Program (CPD). The initiative marketed as VolPro by Volunteer West has capacity to support up to 100 volunteer managers in the west to participate in the CPD program.
“It’s hoped that this partnership will ensure dedicated professional development for volunteer managers in Melbourne’s West who might not otherwise have access to it,” says Scott Miller, Chief Executive of Volunteering Victoria.
Volunteering Victoria acknowledges the critical role of placed based Volunteer Support Services such as Volunteer West through its endorsed partner program, and initiatives such as Vol Pro.
Volunteering Victoria’s CPD program aims to support volunteer managers to continue their professional development by formally recognising their work and dedication to this career, raising the standards of volunteer leadership across Victoria.
Beginning as a pilot in 2019, Volunteering Victoria’s CPD program is in its third year of operation. The program which has participants from across the state, has been picked up nationally and is currently being trialed in Queensland, ACT, Tasmania, New South Wales and Western Australia.
