Volunteering During COVID-19

Government advice and recommendations on the COVID-19 pandemic continue to evolve based on new variant outbreaks and the need for community recovery.

The Chief Medical Officer is encouraging everyone to wear masks when outside the home in crowded, indoor environments, maintain physical distancing and good hygiene practices, take a test if you have any symptoms, and stay at home if you have COVID-19.

We have collated the below resources to assist you with your operations as a volunteer. It should be noted that in most cases, the term ‘worker’ also includes volunteers.

Vaccine requirements
In order to continue working onsite, some workers 18 and over will need to provide evidence they have received three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine or have a valid proof of medical exemption. The specific requirements may vary depending on the sector.
