Today we are thrilled to announce the finalists in the 2023 Volunteering Awards!
The Victorian Volunteering Awards recognise and celebrate the impact volunteers, volunteer leaders and volunteer programs have in building resilient communities, services and connections across Victoria.
Showcasing excellence by individuals, teams and organisations throughout 2023, the Awards are run by Volunteering Victoria with the support of the Victorian State Government.
Following a record number of nominations, the calibre of entries reflects the unwavering commitment of Victoria’s volunteers. 27 individuals and 24 organisations have been announced today as finalists across eight categories:
- Volunteer Commitment
- Volunteer Impact
- Volunteer Leadership
- Young Volunteer
- Grassroots Volunteering
- Inclusive Volunteering
- Volunteering Innovation
- Volunteering Partnerships
One individual will be named the Premier’s Volunteer of the Year, receiving the prestigious Dame Elisabeth Murdoch Award and a $10,000 donation to a charity of their choice.
One organisation will also receive the inaugural Organisation of the Year Award for Volunteering Excellence.
Winners in each category will be announced at a special ceremony at Government House on 27 February.
