Volunteering Victoria is excited to announce that the board has appointed Scott Miller to the role of CEO of Victoria’s State peak body for volunteers and volunteering. Scott is the current CEO of Volunteering New Zealand, a role he has held since April 2015 and brings a wealth of experience of volunteers and volunteering.
Chair of Volunteering Victoria, Angela Seach, is excited to share the news with members and stakeholders. “We have recently been working through a strategic review, developing a clear direction and vision for the future of Volunteering Victoria. A key plank of that new strategic platform is having the right person in place to work with the board, our staff, members and stakeholders to lead the implementation of the strategy. Scott’s collaborative and engaging approach stood out to the board. He has a strong record of achieving advocacy outcomes and has been instrumental in developing the capacity and capability of volunteers and volunteer involving organisations in New Zealand. This is an important step for our organisation and we are looking forward to welcoming Scott to the team.”
Scott will assume the position of CEO on the 23rd of July, 2018.
Volunteering Victoria also acknowledges the immense contribution made by Roz Wollmering, who was interim CEO during much of the strategic realignment for the organisation.
“Roz, who has recently moved overseas, was the steady hand throughout as the organisation managed the departure of the previous CEO and prepared the organsation for its next phase. We owe her a debt of deep gratitude and wish her the very best,” Angela said.
