New information resources

ID-100129605A new set of resources for volunteers, not for profits and businesses who want to encourage their employees to volunteer have been launched during National Volunteer Week 2013.

They include a set of 16 fact sheets and three guides which complement each other – bringing together not for profits, employers and volunteers with a consistent set of information about how to create successful volunteering relationships and outcomes.

The three Guides include:

  • Guide for employers

  • Essential Volunteering Policies and Procedures
  • Recruiting Volunteers

  • Protecting the Privacy of Volunteers
  • Risk Management

And fact sheets for both volunteers and the organisations that need them:

  • Police Checks and Working With Children Checks

A limited number of printed versions of the resources above are available from Volunteering Victoria. They can be used in volunteering organisations to provide to volunteers, or to be distributed to volunteering organisations or businesses in your community.
