We are currently seeking two talented and motivated people to joined the Volunteering Victoria team.

Policy and Advocacy Officer

The Policy and Advocacy Officer is responsible for developing intellectual capital to support Volunteering Victoria’s thought leadership and peak body positioning, our strategic priorities, and our members and Victoria’s volunteering community. This will be achieved by developing policies and advocacy campaigns, identifying emerging issues and trends, research, and undertaking government relations and stakeholder management.

If you have

  • A good working knowledge of and experience in relevant policy, advocacy and/or research work
  • Strong analytical, conceptual and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • A demonstrated ability to meet urgent deadlines whilst contributing to a team environment
  • Experience implementing campaigns or advocacy strategies

Professional Development and Events Manager

The Professional Development and Events Manager is responsible for building and managing Volunteering Victoria’s learning pathways program, consultancy services, networking events and resources to support and enable capacity and capability building in the Victorian volunteering sector. These programs, events and resources will be consistent with Volunteering Victoria’s purpose and values, leverage our intellectual capital, and promote best practice in volunteer management.

If you have

  • A successful track record in learning management
  • Well-developed written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to network and build relationships with external stakeholders
  • Holds a minimum Certificate IV Training and Assessment qualification
  • Ability to work in a changing, complex and demanding environment, with a high degree of autonomy
  • A demonstrated ability to meet urgent deadlines whilst contributing to a team environment
  • Experience with project mapping, writing reports/proposals and developing processes
  • Experience facilitating discussions and teams
