Please note: This is a two part workshop and participants will need to commit to both sessions on 18 October and 1 November.

If you manage a team of people, at some point you will have to stand up in front of them and say something. Maybe it’s a group orientation or induction, presenting at an internal awards ceremony or going out and representing your volunteer program in the community.

For many, the thought of standing up in front of a group of people – even as part of your everyday work duties – is terrifying.

These two workshops are specifically designed for leaders and managers of volunteers to overcome their fear of speaking to big groups of people, as well as improve their public speaking so they can better get their message across and have a greater impact on the volunteers they manage.

All participants will have the opportunity to deliver a brief presentation during the second session and to receive individual coaching and feedback on your delivery.

Learning outcomes:

  • Build confidence and learn how to get your nerves under control
  • Learn how to structure a presentation for maximum impact

You should attend if you are

A leader of manager of volunteers with limited or no experience in public speaking
